As part of our B Corporation™ certification, we were rigorously assessed across five categories: governance, workers, environmental impacts, community engagement and customers. For us, Fix & Fogg is about embarking on a great journey and creating a business that is meaningful, sustainable and delicious - we always want it to be a force for good. The certification process made us take a good long hard look at everything we do. As part of our review, we made a bunch of decisions and changes to keep steering us in the right direction, and we’re committed to continuing to make more improvements as we grow.

A company with an Impact Business Model is intentionally designed to create a specific positive outcome for one of its stakeholders - such as workers, community, environment, or customers.
Environment evaluates a company’s overall environmental management practices as well as its impact on the air, climate, water, land, and biodiversity. This includes the direct impact of a company’s operations and, when applicable its supply chain and distribution channels. This section also recognizes companies with environmentally innovative production processes and those that sell products or services that have a positive environmental impact. Some examples might include products and services that create renewable energy, reduce consumption or waste, conserve land or wildlife, provide less toxic alternatives to the market, or educate people about environmental problems.

FIX & FOGG ON SUSTAINABILITY
At Fix & Fogg we believe in doing our bit for the environment which is why we’re so proud to be B Corp certified. We’re big on reducing food waste, recycling, and delivering our products within the CBD by cargo bike with our buddies at NoCar Cargo. You can read more about our sustainability efforts below!
Public jar return | We are not currently accepting jar returns at this time. Please make sure to wash out your jars, remove the labels and pop them in your regular curb side glass recycling.
Lucky Dip Butter | We donate these jars to amazing New Zealand charities, such as Women’s Refuge and City Missions. They contain nut butters from the end of our production runs, and you can think of them like a lucky dip - they could be sweet, savoury or even spicy. These particular jars might not be perfect (and who really is eh), but they’ve been made with care, using the best possible ingredients and (wherever possible) in a reused/returned jar that our customers bring back to our Eva Street window. Our Fix & Fogg Lucky Butter is vegan friendly and palm oil free.
Partnerships | It’s important for us at Fix & Fogg to align with like-minded brands that share our environmental values. We make sure to carefully consider all brands we’re working with to ensure our ethics aren’t compromised.
Living Wage | We're also proud that Fix & Fogg is one of only a few food manufacturers in New Zealand that is Living Wage accredited. Because happy people make the best butters.
Predator Free | We’re excited to partner with Predator Free Wellington and support their mission to make Wellington the first predator-free capital in the world. Last year we donated 280kg of peanut butter for their monitoring on the Miramar Peninsula. We also donate peanut butter to the 50 volunteer groups trapping across Wellington.
